Salt River
Tip of the week:
Techniques:
There is water being released from Bartlett Lake into the Verde river, giving good flows to the Salt at and below Phon D Sutton. We recommend nymphs, eggs and worms where there is good current. On the upper river stripping buggers and leeches through the slow moving pools can entice a trout to eat.
Seven-day forecast:
Winter stockings are on the books, check AZ game and fish for stocking schedule. The rough fish are prime for some attention until the end of December. They tend to like a green hares ear swung through the riffles.
