Fin Clipping at the Hatchery
About 20,000 cutthroat trout and 27,000 brown trout, all for the White and Norfork Rivers, had their adipose fin clipped just ahead of the tail the week of August 12th, 2014.
There was a great turn-out of volunteers and a task that was scheduled for four days only took two. One purpose of the fin clipping is to help us distinguish between stocked cutthroat and vibert box cutthroat planted by White River Trout Unlimited.
Thanks again to everyone who showed up to help and for passing the word on to other members in your organizations. Much appreciated!
