Wake Up To The North Fork Monday, July 6th

Wake Up To The North Fork II is a pictorial presentation of the natural history of the North Fork River in Ozark County, Missouri. It shows the unique nature of this freestone river and its wild rainbow trout and trophy brown trout. Tips on how to fish and what patterns are most successful will also be discussed.

Our July presentation is brought to you by Shawn Taylor. Shawn began his flyfishing career in the mid 1980’s as a guide on the Kanektok and Alagnak rivers in Southwest Alaska. He moved his family to the North Fork of the White river in 1988 and began Taylormade River Treks, guiding on the all the area rivers and Norfork Lake.  His wife, Christina, still runs the business, which is primarily a Bed and Breakfast for fly fishermen.

Shawn has been a Certified Financial Planner for Thrivent Financial for the last 22 years and occasionally guides for long time clients. Beside fishing Alaska, he has been blessed to fish Alberta, the Bahamas, Central America, England, Mexico, New Zealand, the Florida Keys, and many states.

A long time member of FFF, he has been a Certified Casting Instructor, treasurer of the Southern Council, and the 2002 Conclave Chairman.

He’s most Blessed to have three married children and five grandchildren. All of whom love the outdoors.
