Sean Saunders is the new Region I Stream Team Coordinator and oversees the Northwest Stream Team region. Sean graduated from the University of Arkansas, Little Rock in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Management and Fisheries.
From 2008 thru 2012 he worked for the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission at the Jim Hinkle Spring River Hatchery. While employed there he had the opportunity to present educational programs at surrounding schools and to work with Tim Burnley, the AGFC Trout Habitat Manager and with Dave Evans, the previous AGFC Region I Stream Team Coordinator on various stream restoration projects.
From 2012 to January 2015 he was the Department of Environmental Quality as the District 10 Water Inspector gaining knowledge in water quality, storm water, and permitting.
Sean says, "I know that it is impossible for me to fill Dave Evans shoes but I will give it my all and look forward to working with all the Stream Teams in my region."
