September Program- Phyllis Speer

Phyllis proved to be very entertaining and informative regarding the selection of trout for cooking, how to properly clean your catch and describing several cooking and smoking methods. She was able to turn the corners of our mouths upward with her stories and then make our mouths water while decribing some recipes. I will have to try making some smoked trout pate with creamed cheese and horseradish.

No Brown, Cutthroat or Brook Trout were sacrificed for her recipes. Her trout of choice are Rainbows that have colored and firmed during their river exposure.

Future Programs:

October 6 - Dawn and Mike Schraeder will do a PowerPoint recap of our Bonneville Cutthroat Egg Planting and Our Summer Youth Camp. Other pictures of what we do as a Chapter. Time to be  proud of what we have accomplished and think about future activities.

November 3 - Hopefully Gary Flippin will join us to talk about White River History and some of the changes brought about by minimum flow. Gary is recovering from shoulder surgeries.

December 1 - Carolyn Parker of River Run Outfitters in Missouri will present a Program about the Tanneycomo Tailwater. Very informative presentation about flows, best times. best flies, methods, etc.
