Annual Youth Camp at Dry Run Creek

The mission of the Arkansas White River Chapter’s youth program is to help develop the next generation of cold water conservationists. White River Chapter 698 summer camp for 2017 is Saturday ( 9am - 3pm) and Sunday, (9am - Noon) June 24th and 25th. 


Camp will be held at the Norfork Fish Hatchery at Norfork Dam. Youth between the ages of 10-15, along with a parent or guardian will have fun learning about trout biology, environment and how to catch them on a fly rod. The schedule is a full day on Saturday and a shorter day on Sunday, lunch included on both days. Here is a list of programs:

  • Tom Emerick, Fly Tying
  • Wendy Luna, Predator/Prey Tag,
  • Dr. Eddie Dry, Quiz Bowl,
  • Tiffany Johnson, Gyotaku (fish printing)
  • Stewart Taylor, Fly Fishing Basics (rod assembly, tying knots)
  • and of course, fishing!
